Guaraná is the most popular soft drink in Brazil. The guarana fruit has been known and used by the Amazon Indians for centuries. They dried and ground the seeds, whose pale brown powder was mixed with water and sweetened with honey. Today, one in every four soft drinks sold in Brazil is a Guaraná da Antarctica.
