Frijoles Bayos Refritos / Fried Brown bean puree
The Frijoles Bayo Refritos La Sierra have a light color and a creamy texture and are ideal for the preparation of ”enfrijoladas” (corn tortillas dipped in bean sauce and filled with fresh cheese) and enchiladas (filled tortillas, poured over with sauce).
Beans have been part of Mexican culture since pre-Hispanic times, along with corn and chili peppers. They are a high nutritional staple and probably the most famous and popular dish in Mexico. Every family has a pot of beans on the stove or in the refrigerator at all times, and almost every meal contains beans.
